Persuaded the wife to drive Phil and myself to Gatwick airport at 5:00am. Had already checked in on the internet
so we just had to get through security. After checking in and a near stripsearch we got though customs OK.
Took off about 20 minutes late after a few people decided to get there late and their baggage was unloaded, and loaded again delaying our final take off. We had upgraded to the seats with all the leg room for an extra tenner, which was money well spent.
Arrived at Malaga on time after a 2 hours flight and caught the train to Malaga town centre where we paid 30 euros
each for the trip to Sevilla.
The trip took 2 hours 40 minutes in 25 degrees and tried to sleep through most of it which was a shame as the scenery was stunning.
Finally arrived at Hotel Alcazar about 3:00pm local time,we unpacked and went straight to town which was a bad decision
as we were without a map and Seville is a cross between a rabbits warren and a maze.
Carsten from Germany had arrived and Simon Pajac was due in about 10:00pm local time.
We ventured out and in all honesty didn't really know where we were but we found a bar with the football on and watched
some of the match before deciding to venture further into the unknown.
Simon called about 10:00 pm stating he had just arrived and we were going to meet up, but for one reason or another
we managed to miss each other.
Went to bed about 12:00 midnight completely shagged out and slept until about 10:00 am local time.
Phil again ventured out without a map which was a mistake as, it would take him over two hours to find us again.
I was going to meet up with Simon for breakfast and then move on to the Catherdral for a quick sight seeing tour, very impressive indeed.
Carsten and his friend met up and we went for lunch outside the University and the San Fernando Hotel which was
made famous by the late Seville manager and the Spurs chairman who denied meeting there even though they were photographed on their way out.
We have just been walking about for the last few hours trying all of the Tapas bars on the way and have found a great one to go back to tonight. Time now is 6:00pm GMT and I will get back to you all on Tuesday morning when and if I can remember what happened tonight.
Not many Gooners about but all the rest of or party will be arriving tomorrow including Hungry Tony the Columbian Drugs Baron, Baso, Paris Mark as well as a few Scandanivians.
Breakfast is between 8:00am and 11:00am and and we will be lucky if we make it.
