This was a match where two Arsenal players dominated, Adebayor for his sheer power and goal scoring ability and Senderos, who turned in one of the most solid controlled defensive performances of the afternoon.

The suprise of the day was seeing Jens in goal, he looked rusty, nervous and was out of position quite a lot, Clichy had to clear off the line for him once as he was no where near where the action was, it was a noticable big gamble by Arsene, and he got away with it...just.

It was so fortunate for Jens that both Gallas and Senderos decided to put in their best performance of the season, William was very good but Phillipe was outstanding, he won every tackle, headed every ball confidently and showed great vision with his distribution skills rather than his trade mark thump up field.

As these two were having such a great game, it gave Clichy the freedom to run the left side of attack and he put in some breathless runs to keep Newcastle on the back foot for most of the match. Flamini and Fabregas have had better games, but we have to consider that when they are 'average' this usually means they are still the best in the Premiership.

Lot's of the precision passes and back flicks went astray, but in the end it didn't matter as, it seems all teams crack under the relentless pressure that this current group of Arsenal stars can put you under.

Now what about Theo ? Here at the Supporters club we absolutely love him, he is our future, so all this talk of putting him out on loan is very worrying. He wasn't outstanding but at the same time, he wasn't bad and he made some telling passes and over all contributed well. He needs to learn that he actually has more time on the ball than he thinks he does, and sometimes he needs to remember to take the ball with him when he starts motoring. Most of all, he needs games, more importantly he needs to start games, week in week out, so Mr Wenger, it's Theo's time now, start picking him every week and we are sure he will mature and deliver, if he stays on the subs bench or get's loaned out, his talent will wither.

Ade ? Just watch the MOTD highlights, he's everywhere and always looking to score, prone to a few 'Kanu' moments but it doesn't really matter when you're netting every game. A first class striker.

All in all, a job well done, especially after the reserves training match clanger midweek.
