Fulham 0 Arsenal 3
Here is Gooner 48's Match Report
Thoroughly convincing display today.
Great shame Cesc couldn't finish after a stunning dribble by Hleb in the second half - it would have been a classic. Fulham were mediocre but we took them to the cleaners and the possession stats seemed like they ought to have been about 70-30 to Arsenal.
The headers were great from Ade but their defence was no where. Good crosses though, the first from Clichy as I recall the second from our right, both deep crosses right on the money.
Good assist by Ed for Tom's goal as well. A very comprehensive victory. Fulham fans were leaving in droves long before the final whistle, not that we heard them at all during the match and in any case it would have taken more than three sides of the ground to outsing the temporary cow shed we all stood in today. The stand bounces well but is SO 1980's scabby, cheapo rent-a-stand. 'We'll never play here again'
Listen out towards the end of the match for a new Adebayor song. It's almost like a slow Gregorian chant - possibly the slowest chant we've ever produced - BRILLIANT and totally addictive:
'Adebayor - pass him the ball and he will score - Adebayor'. Or something very similar. The whole of Ashburton will sing it at the next game I'm sure because it is so original and addictive. If you join in keep it SLOW.
Gooner 48 - One life, one game, one team, three doubles and a nice day out at the Cottage
