So what can we say ? It was good to see both Robin van Persie and Kolo Toure run out on to the pitch as second half substitutes, but it was another two points dropped by a team who keep telling us that they are hungry to win the title.

Arsenal did have their chances, in the first minute Adebayor stormed in on goal only to be thwarted by a very on form Chris Kirkland, but on the whole, it was a very dull performance by a team who should be treating these sort of fixtures as 3 points in the bag.

There will be lots of comments about the state of the pitch, but that's no real excuse as it is the same for both teams, although, the FA do have a duty to ask if it is in the interest of football fans to allow clubs to ground share with rugby teams ? Fans pay a fortune to follow their favourite club, you can accept wind and rain, even snow when up north but left over divots ? Doesn't make for accurate passing, who ever you support.

van_persie.jpg He's back at just the right time as Adebayor is struggling to do it all on his own, especially as it doesn't look like Bentner is quite up to the task just yet. Robin had a few blasts at goal, he's rusty but he looks the part, we just hope that he continues to gain strength and get selected as it is these months between now and May that decide where the Premiership trophy will reside.

It will be interesting to see if Theo Walcott can recover from his current muscle strain and push his way back into this Arsenal frontline. The idea of Robin on the left, Theo on the right and Ade in the middle is mouth-watering as a potent strike force, but we have yet to see it evolve.

If ever we needed them all to hit form, it is now, anything less will result in no goals, no wins and no championship. So next up is Arsenal v Middlesbrough on Saturday 15th march 2008 Kick-off at 5:15pm and this again is an even bigger banana skin, based on current form, is this possibly a looming defeat at the emirates? We certainly hope not, but we are starting to ask bigger questions of Arsene Wenger, so big we've decided to run a poll to see what you think. It hurt us hard to be beaten so badly by both Man Utd and Sp*rs, the excuse that it was 'only the youngsters' doesn't sit well with us, we feel that every game should always have the strongest possible team fielded, especially when playing those two as losing  to them is a very bitter experience. So what do you think? Have a vote in our poll.
